Kielbasafest Plymouth, PA

It is that time of year again in good olde Shawnee. The Kielbasafest if being held August 28 and 29 on Main Street. It should be bigger than ever this year. Someone once said that anykind of advertisement is good advertisement. In todays Citizen Voice, to go along with all the corruption going on in Luzerne County, Mike McGlynn wrote the article shown above. I am thinking it was written tongue in cheek.

Across the river, in Wilkes Barre, a 34 million dollar project is being completed. It is called Rivers Common. This weekend, June 19,20 and 21 is the opening with a 3 day celebration with Riverfest. Music, kayaking, fishing demonstrations and ethnic foods will be presented.

New face of Main Street Plymouth

Things are changing on Main Street in Plymouth. New Shawnee Room for banquets and meetings. New Dunkin Donuts just opened in June. Rox52 will open on Saturday June 20th. The porch in the rear is the smoking area. The front is a sports bar with several large TV screens to view your favorite sports. Maybe we can expect more new and exciting changes.
