More changes

Seems like nothing stays the same in old Shawnee. The St. Stephens School was purchased by the WVW School District and knocked down . Additional parking will now be available for students. They also redid Huber field. New sod and new track. Only a million and a half dollars for this little project. The St. Stephens Church was also purchased by the school. It will be a weight room and practice field for the football team. If you are interested, you can still buy the rectory from the schoold board for around $145,000. Pictures follow.

Kielbasafest Plymouth, PA

It is that time of year again in good olde Shawnee. The Kielbasafest if being held August 28 and 29 on Main Street. It should be bigger than ever this year. Someone once said that anykind of advertisement is good advertisement. In todays Citizen Voice, to go along with all the corruption going on in Luzerne County, Mike McGlynn wrote the article shown above. I am thinking it was written tongue in cheek.
